He has been a lawyer for more than 25 years, exercising his profession mainly in Brussels. In recent years, he has had the opportunity to work one week per month in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
After graduating in law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (1986), he took a complementary Master’s degree in environmental law and public real estate law at Université Saint-Louis (2007).
The Master’s programme included both public real estate law (law on land use, urban planning, instruments for implementing land-use policy, land tenure systems, etc.) as well as many facets of environmental law (international law, community law, federal and regional law, etc.) and their interaction with other branches of law, from which he draws and adapts certain techniques (tax law, criminal law, judicial law, civil liability).
Generally speaking, his practice is voluntarily geared towards property law (ownership, easements and other real rights, residential and commercial leases), construction law and urban planning law, all fields in which he holds sturdy experience.
He also practices immigration law.
